dragonfly eggs

recently sat at my local dew pond watching 6 broad-bodied chaser (Libellula depressa) dragonflies chasing 2 females. noticed that one of the females was laying her eggs near the water’s edge, so collected a small amount of the vegetation near when she was laying.

found that the egg mass was quite large and despite the individual eggs being oval in shape, looked very much like tiny frogspawn because of the way it had massed together.
